What specifically happens if I close a Fediverse server and start a new Fediverse server with the same domain name, and I create the same handle as I had before.
I expect this to fail, but in what ways would it fail? Or would it actually work? I just don’t know. 😅 (besides losing all posts, but that always happens when moving servers on the Fediverse)

Av alla kliniker på sjukhuset hade Raduta förväntat sig MINST problem på röntgen eftersom den använder ett annat system, men även här dyker det allså upp kritiska bekymmer.
Tidigare idag fick hon utlysa skyddsstopp på grund av de allvarliga konsekvenserna som det nya systemet Millennium från Oracle orsakar för patienter. Kliniken måste nu manuellt kontrollera varenda överföring sedan i tisdags för att upptäcka fel. Skyddsstoppet är nu hävt men hantering av röntgensvar sker fortsatt helt manuellt.

Jag noterar att efter min granskning har Bris/Frankfam gjort vissa ändringar i kampanj-lösningen.
1) Bitly-länken går inte längre via Firebase utan direkt till sidan hos Frankfam.
2) Frankfam har tagit bort sin Google Tag Manager som laddade flertalet spårnings-skript (det var för övrigt samma skript som laddas på deras egen hemsida).
Även om de inte hört av sig till mig får jag anta att dessa två handlingar pekar på att de är överens med mig om kritiken.
Det understryker förstås också hur dumt det är att QR-koden går via Bitly, när den lika gärna skulla kunna ha gått direkt till Frankfam-sidan, eller ännu hellre förstås till en sida på Bris egen webbplats.
QR-koden i sig kan de självklart inte ändra i efterhand, den sitter vackert kvar där på mjölkpaketet.

@miblo Definitely. The idea of eternal life inside the machine is certainly put forward often enough as well.
AI bros keep saying that AI will solve the climate crisis. Nobody knows what this means. Humankind has known for 50 years what is needed to combat climate change.
Part of that solution is NOT to build things like AI, that increase energy use, lead to freshwater shortages and contribute to a massive growth of e-waste.
The cognitive inertia is real.
When AI bros say AI will solve the climate crisis they are really saying they will find a way to keep destroying the environment, killing off species and triggering extreme weather events without they themselves having to change anything about their lifestyle.

@jfslicer This is very true. I should have been more clear that they have posted in English before, giving me an idea of their proficiency and voice, and some I’ve attended events with that have been in English. The difference now is that these are long-form posts with rather advanced phrasing and words. I’m experiencing a clear and sudden change in tonality from at least a handful of people.
@jfslicer To underscore how valid your point is, it made me think of why I’m never satisfied with machine translations of my own writings from English to Swedish or vice versa. I write differently depending on language.
I wrote my university dissertation on translation of fictional work, so I suppose it shouldn’t surprise me 😅. I’m more intent on how the target group hears and understands my message, than staying exactly true to the original text.
But I also won’t use words that don’t feel like “me”.
@jt_rebelo I obviously can’t know for sure (which is part of the problem), but it sure feels like it.
Some of my contacts on LinkedIn have started to more often post English content (previously Swedish). And they use elaborate wording I’ve never seen them use before, and would not expect them to use (due to my previous understanding of their English-language abilities).
I understand the desire to post more in English. Of course I do. But it really, really doesn’t sound like them at all anymore.
And naturally this makes me wonder how much actually is them.
And this whole development is all very sad to me.
Trustworthiness is becoming more scarce.
