I hope the people who always say "I have nothing to hide" in support of surveillance understand how it's people who had nothing to hide who are being detained and deported by the Trump administration.
But I won't hold my breath.

Bris kampanj gÄr precis tvÀrt emot det jag lÀrt mina barn om hur man undviker bedrÀgerier. HÀr Àr alla fel Bris gör, steg-för-steg. Bland annat ger Bris trovÀrdighet Ät en tjÀnst som ofta anvÀnds för problematiska lÀnkar, vilket kan göra barn mer oförsiktiga.
Jag noterade att kampanjen frÄn Bris (Barnens rÀtt i samhÀllet) fortfarande Àr igÄng pÄ Coops mjölkpaket. SÄ jag roade mig med att skissa pÄ en förklaring av vad det Àr som hÀnder nÀr barn skannar den dÀr QR-koden. Tidigare har jag fokuserat pÄ datainsamling, men nu vill jag fokusera pÄ flödet och hur kampanjens upplÀgg gÄr stick i stÀv med att skapa en trygg vÀgledning.

@ProgressiveLurker I personally don't believe teaching all kids "AI" (which I take to be a marketing term that is not attached to a coherent definition or technology) will be of obvious benefit to individual and/or society. It would likely benefit specific private companies more.
As a person who learnt to code at the age of 8 in 1982 I'm fond of teaching coding â but I would not necessarily argue this is imperative for societal wellbeing in the sense that it should be compulsory for primary school. It can help in recognising grift though.

Apparently all kids now need to know "AI". It was not long ago that all kids needed to know how to code.
I believe this: all kids need to know they are loved.
That is both a challenge to achieve that we can work on, and makes actual sense. And will have way more impact than a tech fantasy.
Itâs no secret that the hype train ticket salespeople are pushing the narrative that everyone is late and has to stress more than ever to have a chance at their ride to the golden future that is promised at least somewhere down the line, almost definitely.
The idea seems to be to make people feel as bad and behind as they possibly can right now, because then itâs easier to sell the promise of something more appealing, even when that promise in no way can be guaranteed â and should be trusted about as much as all other efficiency-boosting activities in the 20th century that have brought us into this utopia of 2-day work weeks and so much more time to spend on the things that matter to us. Oh⊠wait.
Also⊠â34% more efficient in 2 yearsâ? Thatâs weirdly specific at the same time as it is grossly unspecific(!). Not to mention utterly unappealing.
Just based on how the hype artists are making people feel with this shrouded scaremongering it should be quite obvious how much they really care about human wellbeing.

@tsvenson Ett av mina dilemman Àr att jag skriver för att opinionsbilda och vill nÄ ut. LinkedIn Àr fortfarande ett nödvÀndigt ont för att nÄ mÄnga. Jag saknar kulturen med bloggosfÀren nÄgot oerhört men ser nÄgra smÄ hopp. Nyhetsbrev som de hanteras idag (pÄ plattformar som Substack) Àr ju precis som en blogg, och har fÄtt en ordentlig acceptans. Men om vi kan fÄ fler att upptÀcka RSS-lÀsare igen sÄ vore det förstÄs magiskt. (Alla Substacks har RSS-flöde för övrigt, vilket Àr överraskande bra och gör att man kan minska sitt behov av att besöka plattformen.)
NÀr jag testade nyhetsbrev-funktionen pÄ LinkedIn fick jag pÄ kort tid dubbelt sÄ mÄnga prenumeranter som jag hade pÄ min svenska blogg. Försökte skicka ut och sÀga att de skulle prenumerera pÄ axbom.se istÀllet men det verkar som att de flesta sorgligt nog helst hÄller sig till LinkedIn. Nu kÀnner jag mig nödgad att lÀgga ut saker via den kanalen ocksÄ ibland. Men LinkedIn Àr ju i jÀmförelse med mycket annat oerhört inlÄst, och har förstÄs massor av övervakningsmekanismer och en algoritm som uppmuntrar dumma beteenden. Vet att du vet allt detta och jag slÄr in öppna dörrar hÀr men behövde fÄ ur mig det.

@iakonkret @LeoR1010 Jag börjar dock bli vÀldigt less pÄ LinkedIn. SÄ mÄnga obegripliga uttryckssÀtt dÀr (som sannolikt har ambitionen att vara "autentiska"). Ska försöka med att bara titta in varannan vecka.

Mastodon/Fediverse (Akkoma for me) is hands-down my favorite social network of all time. I feel no obligation to "keep up" or behave in a pre-conceived way. And when I engage or write I often connect with super interesting people. I smile when I'm on here in a way that I don't and haven't with other networks. Other networks all come with some sort of performance pressure. Just my random thought of the moment, which I felt very comfortable writing here đ„°
