Wonderful piece: "Do you need the dick pics locator?" by @carlseibert carlseibert.com/dick-pics-loca…
Samling vid starten.
"Many will consider my call to awareness about photo data and assume that I recommend more people should turn this functionality off. But considering Moore’s law and how computer power has been growing at an astounding rate, I am not equipped to predict what networked computers will be capable of finding out about you five years from now, GPS location or not. I would not wish to impose upon anyone a false sense of safety.
Data, you see, is sometimes stored where we least expect it."
Hmm, the creator of Minecraft seems to have some kind of message, but it's extremely unclear.

@carlseibert When would you like my response? I'm actually writing a post addressing this issue 😀
Worth noting. EXIF data is information stored in a picture: e.g. location and camera used. Discord is a communications platform for gamers. x.com/discordapp/sta…

Yes, there's a a paradox in my message with DPLocator: it's good because we can expose perps, it's bad because we can put innocents at risk.
The increased awareness of this is key to my goals.

@carlseibert This is an excellent discussion. In bed now but I'll write down my thoughts tomorrow.
