This may be the year the @NobelPrize became obsolete. For glaringly obvious reasons. #DiversityInScience

@luxux Generally both paths can support the business goals. One is probably a path of less resistance for the designer though.

Social media detox plan:
Week 1: No sm for 1 hr after waking.
Week 2: No sm for 2 hrs after waking.
Week 3: No sm for 3 hrs after waking.
The general goal willl be same level as week 3. #smdetox

@stephenanderson Yes! So many miss this important facet of gamification, that we add friction to make something more challenging/engaging.
@stephenanderson Thus also activating the brain and giving people a chance for more aware decision-making.

@gabyprado_w Been trying for ”force” to relate to the physics definition of ’changing the motion of an object’ but I may be shooting myself in the foot.
@gabyprado_w I need those 280 characters! 😂
@gabyprado_w This now gave me ideas for a blog post, thank you!

@gabyprado_w You’re right. It was hard to get across my meaning there. I’ve been doing talks lately about adding friction and that’s really what I meant.
@gabyprado_w So my idea is that we add the right amount of friction to ”force” people to make more conscious, aware decisions. Thus helping.
@gabyprado_w Don’t know if that sounds better 😂 but I’ll expand on it soon enough.
@gabyprado_w Much of that thinking is actually in this post… axbom.com/fairytale-ux/
On my mind: Is the job of a ”UX:er” to create seductive packaging or help/force people to make a well-informed, considered choice.
