@beantin I’ll live :) It’s a good reminder of how easy it is as a privileged person to sometimes blurt out stuff without really thinking.

@nicolecommander @joniels Let's do it. Happy to make a list of examples where companies intentionally make it hard for you to end their relationship with them, in an effort to charge you money for as long as possible.

When I realize I've done and said stuff completely against my own value system... that's an energy drain right there. Gah. Time to go hide in a book for a while to clear my mind.

@TelenorSverige Perfekt! Ännu fler exempel till föreläsningen 😂
I will NEVER recommend a company that makes it extra difficult to end a subscription, no matter how well their service worked. It's just evil and I will never condone evil.
How's this: have to call to get cancellation form sent via post (it could just as well be a PDF download).
In other news, once I got hold of customer service, they managed to e-mail the form and allow me to send it back in e-mail. Obviously not allow it as a download though.
The kicker was support staff wondering what I wanted after me punching buttons for 2 mins to declare my errand. After my hello they were silent, and then when I said "uhm , I just entered my organisation number and that I want contract cancellation", they were like, "ah, I see".
Hej @TelenorSverige! Stämmer det att man måste beställa en blankett från kundtjänst om man vill säga upp sitt abonnemang för bredband (företag). Det går inte ladda ner den blanketten från er hemsida?

@pedrobjorn Wouldn't it be easier and more honest to say that? I bet lots of websites that require cookies to operate provide inferior experiences =)
Så vansinnigt trött på mobiloperatören 3 och när jag väl kommer loss från deras abonnemang kommer jag ha fest. På NPS får de -72. Det var allt jag vill säga om det.
"This page uses cookies to give you the best experience possible."
Sheesh. Who came up with this line and why is everyone copying it?*
*rhetorical
Boy do I wish paywall links were clearly marked on Twitter. The absence of clear labelling just makes me dislike the brands more each time I am urged to run into their wall.

@Acuity_Design I would argue less details minimizes entropy and boosts learning opportunity. Can be achieved by both scenarios but people will tend to argue animation. :)

@baekdal It will be the same 30 second loop rendered for 7 hours 😂
I added this Google search to my mobile home screen because the most common question this summer will be: "When is country X playing their next game?" #worldcup ⚽️ google.se/search?source=…
"I believe that this world can be better. I believe that this world should be better. But it's not going to get better unless we make it better. And that requires risk, that requires hard work - that ultimately might require sacrifice." - @Snowden interviewed by @mehdirhasan
From this episode of Deconstructed: Edward Snowden on privacy in the age of Trump and Facebook. theintercept.com/2018/05/25/dec…
"Everyone who has heard Trump speak for more than three minutes knows that he's a wrecking ball. [...] The guy can't even remember what he was going to say at the end of a sentence."

@TelenorSverige You can let your colleagues know I will use this example in my talks about accessibility and digital ethics, and maybe the change will happen faster ;)

@TelenorSverige There are no instructions on the page that say anything about the format of the phone number. The user-friendly way for this is to allow different formatting of the phone number, as most sites do these days ;)
From an accessibility point of view the form is very poorly made.
@TelenorSverige But thanks for the response!
So @TelenorSverige won't accept a phone number with a dash... but the kicker was that I received a warning that my password too easy to guess (it's visible in the image, but yeah I changed it again). They failed 2 out of 3 fields for sign-up (e-mail they got right). 😂
