@BillHolohanSolr This story is enticing but not as directly true as the poetic telling of it (it's been told this way with the horse's ass for decades) encourages people to believe.
@snopes do a good job as always:

@BillHolohanSolr @snopes I won't deny this is a cool part of history but the gauge wars seems like a hugely interesting part of it that shouldn't be missed out:

In 26 countries, computational propaganda is being used as a tool of information control in three distinct ways: to suppress fundamental human rights, discredit political opponents, and drown out dissenting opinions. x.com/anettenovak/st…

Was thinking earlier today about the right to an offline life. We are effectively removing this right from people, and it's beginning to become a concern for me. It means we need to be making the right decisions now...
Know that you, and your place of work, will regularly make decisions leading towards, or away from, an ethical mindset. This will help you evaluate and act on your own value system. By acting early, and making your voice heard, you have the opportunity to influence org. culture.

The one in which I make an effort to be really positive about our industry 😁. Let me know how that sounds. x.com/uxpodcast/stat…
I'm in one of those states (exhausted) where I tell people to not make important decisions, as they have a higher likelihood of having a negative impact on yourself and others. Acknowledging how hard it is to follow my advice. Now imagining thoughts as balloons and popping them.
Do not think about if you are doing enough. Think about what you want to do next.
Anybody seen a way of automatically inserting a progress bar/indicator to the slides in a #keynote presentation? (Mac)
@AGConsult Isn't the real problem that a fool with a tool is a potentially a more efficient fool? 🤪
It's wild how much faster you can go by going slower.
