@Janne I believe the most common mistake I see people do is to just wait for the link to be verified.
The verification is only checked when you enter the web address into your profile and press the save button.
So if you have already entered the web address before you add it to the page, you need to re-enter the data in your profile and save again for the check to kick in.
@taylorlorenz Lovely, they have their own definition of everyone.
In the same manner as it is often exclaimed that "This meeting could have been an email", I often frustratingly declare: "This app could have been a web page."

@LeoR1010 Det blir nästan inception-känsla för mig i den scenen på något konstigt sätt. Jag blir gråtmild av att Sharon Tate överlever i Tarantinos tidslinje. Att våldet drabbar de egentliga förövarna känns som själva sinnebilden av poetisk rättvisa. Men ändå bara fiktion som på något sätt helar.

That website is running a service that reposts twitter accounts into ActivityPub format that can be read by Mastodon... So it's not a regular Mastodon instance.
It doesn't list a responsible entity...
My interpretation is that it reposts stuff automatically, each account isn't controlled by an individual.
Right now it became overloaded so accounts aren't reachable.
I gather people built things like this for following people on Twitter…

I don't use any of the apps, but I would imagine there is a globe icon to select for the federated timeline, as that is what it most commonly is marked with.

Enough people used my flowchart on the visibility of a toot as a an example of “how complex Mastodon is”, that I just had to make one on the visibility of a tweet.
The visibility of a tweet is always unpredictable. A post on Mastodon appears chronologically in a transparent and predictable way.
Just sayin' 😜
