Do you know who has written which book in #UX?
I went down a rabbit hole (close to literally) and discovered what type of output I can have generated from ChatGPT related to this topic. For example, which book has Jared Spool and Kim Goodwin authored together, according to this non-thinking machine.

This was my first time down a "literal rabbit hole". 🐇
In a blog post about ChatGPT I wanted to use the quote "It would be so nice if something would make sense for a change.", attributed to the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol.
So – in doing my due diligence and being curious about its context – I've been downloading several editions of the book and have found nothing like this quote in any of them. One of the most famous quotes from the book doesn't seem to appear in it.
Which is so incredibly apt for a blog post about ChatGPT. Anyway I'm still on the hunt for where that quote actually appears (my guess is one of the many Alice movies).

And oh my. Of course it struck me to see what would happen if ChatGPT was used to find this quote from Alice in Wonderland. The tool proceeds to tell med which chapter the quote is in and quotes pages and pages from the book, without the quote. It takes me a number of prompts to help the tool respond that the quote is in fact not in the book...

Wow have I been sidetracked here but the metaphor for what I'm writing about is just sp eerily spot on. Plus this is one of my favorite books... 😂 So of course it delivers.
I went as far as I could with ChatGPT trying to track down that Alice in Wonderland quote. It finally made up a passage in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and attributed it to Douglas Adams. Which of course is completely false. But the conversation is very apt for a bizarre rabbit hole wonderland experience.
