We were on the plane! 3 hours delayed. We were gonna leave. We were told to shut off our electronic equipment. But. One small thing. A light was showing that the door was open. But it wasn't. Power down. Power up plane (an airplane reboot). No change. Call maintenance. Wait for maintenance. Wait some more for maintenance. No can solve. Now back in lounge. Waiting. Kids not so happy anymore... can't leave here, have to wait for announcement, and we need food. And sleep...
Detroit. Waiting for a seriously delayed flight. Won't make connecting flight to Stockholm. Ergo at least a 24-hr delay getting home. The kids are champs. Let's look at the bright side, may have time for a few hours on Manhattan tomorrow. If we get out of Detroit before midnight.
