When posting there is no way of knowing what trauma, illness or distress the reader is going through at the moment.
But likely they chose the Fediverse because they also wanted to participate in social messaging online.
I would argue that assuming that everyone needs to see something is not compassionate or caring.
Content warnings are a blessing in my mind.
