@kazarnowicz Oh yeah, definitely. I pay $10 a year for Overcast. What I'm objecting to, which I obviously wasn't clear with, is that consumers are led to believe that podcasts are somehow "released" on big platforms and the platforms take advantage of this to build on user profiles / data surveillance and share consumption data with others.

Small tech for the win, and yes: pay them :)
