When I left Facebook a couple of years ago I shared this article referencing research indicating how what we want doesn't always make us happy.
It resurfaced in my consciousness today, as it's a wicked problem I'd like to work more on. The economy is designed to reward people with that they want. But wants can be engineered. Consciously or unconsciously. How can the system accommodate this disconnect without becoming paternalistic?
