The systemic complexity of managing a pandemic.
I drew a system map to try and make sense of factors affecting, and being affected by, managing a pandemic. This is in no way a complete picture, and certainly not a verified one, but a way of showing the potential complexity and for myself summarizing much of what I've seen in reporting.
p.s. If anyone has experience in making a diagram like this accessible for more people, I welcome your suggestions. The idea I have is to make a blog post where I have a bullet list that describes the potential effect of each arrow. This brings some value, but perhaps there are even better ways.
Also note that in the map I use "physical distancing" rather than "social distancing", as well as "population immunity" rather than "herd immunity".
