I've decided to support the Correspondent. It's set to become an English-language version of the Dutch platform De Correspondent. They're changing how news is made, what it's about and how it's funded. They need to reach 2.5 million USD within 70 hours though (currently at 2.2 million), so now is the time to figure out if you believe in their idea and want to become a founding member. I made a pledge of $25.
As with any kickstarter, if they don't make the target you don't pay anything.
