@Ingyplingy My interpretation was that the dropdown reference was anectodal and the person first using the word "dropdown" may not have known what this word traditionally means in the space of interaction design.

@jmspool They just added the top link apparently, that is the "design" solution for the false alarm. The list seems to have grown over time ("iterative design" was a nod to this, jokingly). I can't really be certain if it's a web page or some other type of system.
