@ifenn True, but the conveyor belt was innovation for the 19th century. This is "innovation" for the 21st century.

So many conflicting emotions. How does a person with impaired dexterity eat here? Do they always need to bring an assistant to retrieve the food from the robot? x.com/CarlZha/status…
One word I constantly see people spell wrong on their profiles is "professional".
I'm embarassed by how satisfyingly ironic I find this.
A 2016 study by Carnegie Mellon University professor Dov Levin found that the United States intervened in 81 foreign elections between 1946 and 2000, with the majority of those being through covert, rather than overt, actions.

"Removing race and gender as explicit factors in the training data are basically table stakes -- the necessary bare minimum. It will not eliminate -- and potentially won't even reduce -- racial and gender bias in the model because it is still trained on historical outcomes." x.com/Liberationtech…
Suggestions of where to ask would also be helpful :)

@z_rose If it were me today I would likely set up a camera and record myself talking them through it for 20 minutes, including the problems with the task itself.
Have been reading up on #reactweek and just shaking my head in disbelief at the tonedeaf comments by the organisers. One bad example after another. Need a cup of tea now to calm myself down.
Best summary so far. There is more if you dig but don’t go down that rabbit hole. x.com/matthewgerstma…

@JesperBylund The specs say "Almost all screen sharing". I've had it for over a year and not noticed any issues or unwanted notifications while presenting.
(Hehe, at first I thought I wrote this in my original tweet but I see I didn't 😁)
A question to all gaming nerds. When my son is recording while playing Fortnite he experiences some frustrating lagging. All is fine when not recording.
What's the best way to remedy this? Specs included in image (only difference is he has 16GB RAM).
He uses OBS for recording.

@JesperBylund Does Do Not Disturb activate by itself when I share screen? Haven't found that setting...
Tired of those unwanted notifications when you're screensharing? I use Muzzle app by @bdkjones and I couldn't live without it.

Well, I obviously could live without it. But life is better with it...
@uxdxconf Your signup form for staying updated seems to get stuck on "Please wait..." (I'm on the Stockholm page)

My Swedish handbook is available for pre-order and the English handbook will be as well in a couple of weeks (or less).

Yeah @HBOnordic is really not my cup of tea. Their device limit is absurd. Sitting down with a new device I can’t watch HBO because I have to manage some kind of device limit and remove another one of my devices.
(Seriously, you can block simultaneous views in other ways. 😣)

Kastar in lite bränsle i debatten :)
Jorge Arango argumenterar mot wireframes. Jag tycker han har flera bra poänger, och att det fria skissandet alltför ofta hoppas över. Jag är garanterat skyldig till det beteendet också.
