@weylandswart I don’t always notice them when I roll over. The times I have I’ve actually removed them and fallen right back to sleep. There are also more expensive ones where the padding is such that I believe this is even less of a problem.

I’ve had trouble falling asleep on and off for years. Finally bought a sleep mask with built-in bluetooth headphones. And I listen to the Get Sleepy podcast (which is free). I’ve had this setup for almost a month and it’s working wonders for me.

I bought a ’cheap’ non-brand sleep mask because I wasn’t sure it would be worth the investment. It really was.
I still haven’t heard any of the episodes ’til the end.

Just saw a video of all the dead animals along the roadside in New South Wales. Just so many. One of the most horrific things I've ever seen. Can't even bring myself to share it. A billion animals are set to die. Half of the disease-free koala population already dead. 😭

@jeffpoulin @uxpodcast @nireyal @beantin I do understand this sentiment Jean-Francois. Our reflective outro commentary has been part of the show format for many years, and often highly appreciated. When we are skeptical of assertions made by our guests, we do understand how this can feel unfair.
@jeffpoulin @uxpodcast @nireyal @beantin Giving the opportunity to feedback again certainly is an option but often there are several time constraints involved. There is also a risk of needing even more time to discuss the feedback. We have had some challenges with this in the past.
@jeffpoulin @uxpodcast @nireyal @beantin In the end our hope was giving Eyal an opportunity to speak on the show would allow more people to understand where he is coming from. This was on the back of my critical blog post which I also edited based on Eyal’s relevant feedback.
@jeffpoulin @uxpodcast @nireyal @beantin This is one of those shows where we have received a lot of comments via e-mail. Not an insignificant amount has been to thank us for the outro commentary as some people felt it balanced the show. It’s not an easy call and we do appreciate you letting us know how you feel.
@jeffpoulin @uxpodcast @nireyal @beantin We also do still encourage people to read Eyal's books and make up their own minds. Eyal’s blog is certainly a good place for reading more on his clarifications on how he looks at the interplay of addiction, habits and positive impact. nirandfar.com/blog/
Just a few weeks until I’m giving my 2.5 week course ”Ethics in design”. This is how 29 students will finish off their 2 year vocational program to become UX designers before job training.
For the students, what has been your most important #designethics learning in 2019?
I've been playing around with the #inclusivepanda today. Not quite there yet but I am getting somewhere with being able to include neglected contributors, for example cobalt miners.

This is the million dollar question, isn't it? How do we get a high confidence level in national polls/surveys if there is no obvious, reliable way of randomly selecting a sample of people who correctly reflect the whole population? x.com/VickerySec/sta…
Best post ever addressing the "there is no year zero" argument that proposes that decades begin at year 1. by @lethargilistic

@devinkoneill @lethargilistic @thursaconcept Unless you argue that there is no year 0 and that the tenth year of the decade is the one that ends on 0, thus making next year the first year of that decade. 😛
