@rnadworny True. I could hardly remember why I made this 😅 but just found the tweet when searching for something else. They changed their branding from Facebook to FACEBOOK last year, so it was mostly a joke on shouting.
Hyundai Motor Group do a victory dance after acquiring a controlling stake in the famous robotics company. Though no one seems to really have a grasp on why the South Korean company wants to own 80 percent of Boston Dynamics. And pay $1 billion for it.

The behavior by Sweden’s leadership right now is devastating. Being this oblivious with regards to what their actions mean in terms of trust and ability to manage a pandemic speaks volumes about how fit they are for their jobs.

Dan Eliasson flew to the Canaries before Christmas.

Justice Minister Morgan Johansson went shopping in the after Christmas sale – despite Stefan Löfvéns sharp advise not to.

In December the prime minister “… has repaired his watch, looked for spare parts for his electric shaver, shopped for food, visited Systembolaget [where Swedes buy their alcohol] and bought a Christmas gift for his wife.”
I’m of the belief that these activities can be well-planned to minimize risk. But they are not *without* risk. The more important point is this: you can not as a leader urge people to do one thing and expect them to comply when you yourself do the opposite. That endangers all.
Dan Eliasson:
"I judged that this trip is necessary. I have a daughter who spends time here and works here."
"I've celebrated Christmas wirh my family"
"This is one of the safest places in Europe."
"I've abstained from many trips during the pandemic."

Some media will be reporting that Dan Eliasson resigned or was kicked off his post. In reality he asked to be relocated and will keep his salary of 160,000 SEK/month for two more years doing less critical work. Essentially sounds like he was awarded for his missteps.

@janeruffino My interpretation was Karen and Frank are addressing organizational decision-making where decisions are made with little consideration for outcomes. The idea being that "slow thinking" may help avoid harm. Agree they would not apply, and could be dangerous, in other contexts.

@_anith Exactly! As an adult this has also manifested in politeness. I do not want to speak over others and in certain groups this means it's impossible to get a word in. Some of the best project managers I've had noticed this and asked "What do you think Per?" which provides space.

@_anith For me the concept of introvert has been helpful, because of what it is intended to mean, not what most people think it means. I am not shy, but consider myself an introvert. The easiest way for me to explain is how I need to replenish after social interactions, which drain me.
@_anith All the while I was labelled as shy as a kid, when really I was a keen observer trying to make sense of things before I engaged.
Being labelled by other people, I agree, often sucks.
I really appreciate efforts like Manifesto for Slow Thinking.

@lisariemers @Wedge I'd argue links are still working class text (delivery services) and you don't get to lower middle class text until you add bold (as required for clerical work). The upper middle class need italics and bullets (lawyers). To gaslight all of them you need really rich text though.

@David_M_Bergman @Loukas_RS Thx! It strikes me how "Sthlm syndrome" a simple way to defer any idea of rational thinking. Instead of trying to understand the real reasoning (which may be completely rational in the context) it dismisses it with a "mental delusion" which apparently requires no explanation.
@David_M_Bergman @Loukas_RS I'll have "smarter" things to say once I've read the book ;)

@Loukas_RS @David_M_Bergman That's pretty much my take right now. It's been an extremely media-friendly term to throw around.

Next on my reading list is "Jag blev Stockholmssyndromet". Literally: I became the Stockholm syndrome. It's the personal story of Kristin Enmark, who was held hostage in 1973. When critizicing the police she was dismissed with a non-existent diagnosis invented on the spot.

@Tesla452 I have yes, but good call. That's the type of "mindless" action my mind sometimes craves to calm down - however counterintuitive that may seem.
Are there no new good action movies? Appreciate any fast-paced action movies you can recommend. Preferably one I can rent on Apple TV or watch on Netflix 😬 Feel like I've run out of them though, so other platforms as well if the movie is worth a subscription ;)
