I know people will rush to use this story in their slidedecks. That was a thought I had 😅. Before you do, just be aware that the robot is not leaking fluid, the fluid is not necessary for function and the robot never died or ran out of fluid in 2019.

I'm all for individual interpretation of art, but the premise to describe the piece in the first tweet is "It's programmed to try to contain the hydraulic fluid that's constantly leaking out and required to keep itself running." Nothing in that sentence is true.

More on how the robot actually works on the @Guggenheim website. This work by Sun Yuan & Peng Yu was commissioned for the Guggenheim Museum in 2016. What happened in 2019? It was moved to Venice.

@NeelBhandari9 Definitely agree. But saying that it's leaking, that the liquid (which isn't hydraulic fluid) is necessary for function and that it died, is that all interpretation?

@mmitchell_ai From what I understand this work of art is not leaking fluid and it never died. The piece is a commentary on migration and borders. The narrative in the thread appears misleading.

Been intending to delete the Twitter app from my phone. What's been stopping me is all my unsent tweets (drafts). 😅 They're all stored locally. Delete app = lost drafts. Decided now I'll just scroll and screenshot them all. I'm a real sucker for saving content...

Done. Wow that took me less than 10 minutes. That's what's been stopping me. 10 minutes. The excuses we make for ourselves... 🙄

At some point I'll make a thread of tweets I never sent when I wrote them. There were quite a few I liked, so I'm glad I saved them.

@grishund Började blocka friskt för ett par år sedan och då blev mycket bättre efter att jag för ofta fastnade i att läsa Twitter-bråk. Vill också numer undvika de ointressanta politiker-tjafsen.
