@beantin Maybe, but I think I’d prefer new content be loaded below. This happens when I accept one and the screen loads suggestions based on that.
@beantin In that scenario all buttons would have to be disabled a short period after I click one of them. It’s a mess.
When you are saying "If I don't do it someone else will." you are yourself being the someone else.
Have you heard of a designer being fired for making an ethical stand in terms of saying: ”I won’t design it that way because that could cause harm to people”?
So I'm about to click "Accept" on a new connection, LinkedIn lazy loads suggestions above(!), so mouse pointer now instead clicks "Connect".

Of course, there is no way to withdraw the "Connect" query, so here I am forcibly inviting people to connect, hardly knowing who they are.
If websites could stop loading content above where my cursor is on the page, that'd be great. Thank you. #dakpatterns #misusability
Also, did LinkedIn measure the distance so that the lazy loading "Connect" button would appear in the same space as the "Accept" button. 🤔
I love how different all the responses are to this! :) <3 x.com/axbom/status/9…
