@cwodtke Understanding how people use computerised systems so that we can tell the people who make computerised systems how to build in order to better help people perform specific tasks. (off the top of my head 😁)
@cwodtke I actually see it as the basis for the stuff I do and was a bit taken aback by the words "obsolete" and "old" expressed by others in this thread.

En av de viktigaste förmågorna i mitt yrkesliv har varit skrivandet. Att kunna skriva för målgrupper har hjälpt mig att författa rapporter som folk förstår, skriva offerter som tas på allvar, förmedla kunskap och formge lösningar.

@davegray I do so many different things these can be seen as pendulums that sometimes overlap and are sometimes further apart. I think I need the movement to keep things exciting.

1. Det är 8 människor i kö för att bli insläppta i gruppen som inte sagt "Ja" till att de förstått gruppens syfte. Jag har ju denna fråga som ett nålsöga för att underlätta administrationen kring att godkänna nya medlemmar. Tyvärr har jag förstått att alla inte ser frågan och inte heller verkar få påminnelse om att svara på frågan. Tack Facebook. Om ni vet med er att någon kompis väntar på att bli insläppt, pinga mig (helst på Twitter). De flesta ser "legit" ut, men jag har dålig erfarenhet av att godkänna konton i andra grupper enbart på känsla. Att man redan har vänner i gruppen och gemensamma vänner med mig underlättar förstås min bedömning lite grann. Men har man svarat "Ja" så är man direkt godkänd och det har funkat finemang hittills (alltså inga troll har slunkit igenom).
Ja jag vet att det kan vara långa ledtider men det beror mest på att jag själv dragit ner rejält på min närvaro här. Det kan gå upp och ner.
2. Att rekrytera via gruppen tycker jag att vi kan undvika, jag hoppas ni håller med. Det finns andra grupper för sån't. Här är det ämnesdiskussioner som gäller. Jag kommer alltså plocka bort inlägg som enbart syftar till att tipsa om jobb. UX:are är förstås förstås kluriga när vi väljer att diskutera innehållet i jobb-annonser 😂
Annat ni tänker på och kanske gärna skulle ha som regel?

How have Microsoft managed to kill the previous possibility of having a custom voice message for your Skype voicemail? I set up a scheme for managing calls and it now fails miserably when I discover Skype is just a blob of unhelpfulness.
When you're a person who works mostly horizontally, and rarely in silos, boy do you see a lot of questionable effort being put into tasks that could be better managed with a 30-minute face-to-face.
