The atrocity of the described murder inhibits human ability to speak of it.

@tomsamuelsson Det här är en intressant studie i sammanhanget. Den motsäger inte det du säger, men är en bra insikt för den som vill nå ut med budskap via influencers. gsb.stanford.edu/insights/are-i…

@garyr0binson @kimgoodwin I am in love with this quote.
One of the most self-healing activities you can engage in is:
figuring out what you want.
Not everyone is granted the time to do this. One of the best gifts you can give is the time and empowerment to figure this out. To yourself and to others.
Wishing you a healing weekend.

Jag gav min föreläsning namnet ”Don’t feed the designers after midnight”. Jag hoppas vi ses där till frukosten.
Biljetterna kostar 1500kr. Konferensen är på engelska. Keynote speaker är Pamela Pavliscak.

Why do I get the feeling these robots are distracting us from what’s really going on?

Here's the thing. In interpersomal communication we listen to feedback to understand if a person is upset, harmed, confused or misinterprets.
If an unsupervised AI is not programmed to interpret feedback it can continue to harm people indefinitely.

I have to say, my degree in communications science is becoming more and more useful in my work, writing and teaching. A latency of 20+ years isn't too bad. 😂
Putting any quote on top of an image of a famous person seems to totally short-circuit the human brain into truly believing that the person must have said exactly this. Would love to read a study on this phenomenon.

@dvdndrssn @emanuelkarlsten Jag trodde jag var i dagvild i många år innan jag fick höra att jag egentlig var dagvill - som i villrådig eller rådvill. (Samma rötter som vilse).
Okay... just learned about the StopTheMadness extension for Safari that stops browsers from disabling standard UI features, like copying and pasting text. The web is now at a point where developers can make money by blocking the blocks. Well played, @lapcatsoftware!
If you have Spotify you now have one more way of subscribing to the show and accessing the entire archive of episodes. x.com/uxpodcast/stat…
That Gartner has picked digital ethics as a strategic trend is significant. The next step is to help people to not focus so much on the philosophy of ethics but instead on avoiding negative impact by listening for it.

A good way to ignore the needs of the quiet ones is to simply ask for feedback but never seek it out.

@writebeard @lissijean Haha, you did have me looking like a question mark there for a moment.

@lissijean I don't think you can do more than that right now. Probably the advice of a professional repair shop would be the next step. Hope everything turns out ok.
