Getting real about technology…

Accepting others for who they are is not about empowering them, it's about empowering you.

If you can provide a safe space for people you previously met with prejudice, that's you empowered.

Like any power, it requires regular training.

The rewards are immense.

I am far from perfect in this area, but I practice regularly through coaching. Attending a coaching program (in my case an ICF-accredited education) is one of my best career decisions, impacting all aspects of life.

@katherinemzhou I struggle with this as well and I can truly recommend the book The Future of Capitalism by Paul Collier. I haven't taken a stand on everything he brings up, but it is thought-provoking and important.

@katherinemzhou In the end I think we are still in the Discovery phase of digital ethics and a systemic change is needed where whole cultures redefine how value is defined within the realm of capitalism.

@katherinemzhou This article on reshaping capitalism is also a good starting point for bringing up the questions we need to be asking, and start shaping strategies around: forbes.com/sites/steveden…

Been meaning to blog about this but my priorities have been off.
