It's old news (launched last summer), but new for me. LinkedIn has a post inspector (much like Twitter and Facebook) so you can preview image and text in shared items. You can also request a re-scrape if you've updated something.

The Svalbard seed vault is a hope-inducing testament to human ability to think ahead, storing around a million samples of germplasm (living genetic resources).
Did you know about the adjacent Arctic World Archive, a safe offline storage of digital data?

I believe @feedbin will solve a lot of my time and filter management with feeds (blogs and news), twitter and newsletters.
Thank you for the tip @persand! (And also thx to @EmilStenstrom who recommended it in 2013 - wow was I slow on the uptake.)
Just realized I wrote a long comment on LinkedIn earlier today and thought I’d go check if there’d been any response. I didn’t see my comment. So then I realized I’d been interrupted before I posted. And it’s now gone forever.
Gmail has had auto-saved drafts since 2004...
I need to stop writing live on these platforms. They are only for cut and paste from a reliable offline editor.

Imagine if the best way of fighting #deepfake videos is to film yourself 24/7 so that you can prove where you are during the timing of the deepfake. 😬

@RebbeccaTomas This is a very good point. Should I be able to claim compensation from the company I work for? Is it a work hazard that we should have insurance for? So many questions.

@per_p More like shitty outcomes with traditional and normalized KPI's.
Use your fingerprint they said. It will be smooth they said.
"Unlike passwords being leaked, when fingerprints are leaked, you can’t change your fingerprint."
Yes, in this case the actual fingerprints were visible. There are millions of systems like it.

When setting key performance indicators, you'd do well to also discuss if a performance indicator boost is relevant at any humanitarian cost.
Or even, if the performance indicator itself encourages harm to others.

@mortenbjoern @space10_journal Awesome, thanks for the quick and helpful reply!
If you're going to feed a machine with historical data so that it can learn, make sure you have checked the ingredients. If the historical data contains historical prejudice, misogyny, ableism and racism... your machine will now contain, and grow from, exactly this.
