A beautiful piece exploring concrete design patterns for admitting mistakes on Twitter, explaining why this is needed and how it relates to basic human interaction, by @nickpunt x.com/peterkz_swe/st…
@nickpunt I wanted to add your blog to my reader but found no RSS feed?

@Augmentedrobot @artologica That doesn't look like it closes very tight over the airways... 😨
Grattis Stockholm.

@Arm_i_n If you mean WhatsApp :) then I already deleted that account last year. This would be the last step in leaving the FB platforms.

@LollyDaskal @WarrenWhitlock This is a quote from a book by the greek author Aesop, right? From The Lion and the Mouse if I remember correctly.

@fiberghost Thanks for the feedback Ahmed! Means a lot. And good to know the RSS feed works :)

@fiberghost Hi Ahmed! Wow you were quick in noticing this post. Just minutes after I published I received word that another publisher wished to publish on their platform, giving me more viewers. So I unpublished. It's out Monday and I will redirect this link to that page. 🙏 Thank you.
Following upon the experienced relief of leaving Facebook, my next step is leaving Instagram. I know I will feel as much relief as leaving FB, but it's still emotionally taxing. Human brains are weird.

@jakobper Thinking of how Facebook works as well, yes. But just to be clear, while there are several schools that have banned the book, it is still on the curriculum of most schools and a regular recommended read during #BannedBooksWeek

@Mochievous Love this. When I started experimenting with text-to-speech on my blog I realised how much it revealed about lapses in tempo and punctuation.
Having the text read aloud helped me improve the text. I gather I could really benefit from reading aloud _during_ as well.
Thanks!

@Acuity_Design And choosing red letters would allude to the dripping of blood. But they chose white...
I want to believe that everything in this poster ad was on purpose, and a nod to Sweden...
Non-Marvel people: Knull is a villain and deity responsible for the destruction and corruption of entire civilizations across the universe.

We've got @TheLocalSweden coming to the rescue and explaining the Swedish word "knull".

@Acuity_Design This poster ad, complete with the word choice and the font choice, really made me do a double-take. 😂

@jakobper When it comes to the US, references to masturbation, profanity and drugs is often enough. There are apparently several scenes referencing masturbation, his artist neighbor walks around naked and the word ”fuck” is used.
The novel Flowers for Algernon had a profound impact on me when I read it in school, more than 30 years ago. It gave me important perspectives on ableism and prejudice. It nurtured my compassion. Made me cry.
I was sadly unaware of how many US schools have banned it.
Flowers for Algernon was number 43 on the American Library Association's list of the 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books of 1990-1999.
I found this upsetting. But it reminded me to talk about the book more. And make a note to re-read it.

@Scott_Matter Good call. This definitely works better. I'll have to reflect a bit on it.
Great conversation with Jesper about 'fact-based reporting' this morning. I'm glad he called it out. x.com/JesperBylund/s…
