Asking if it's okay to record when everyone is already in the meeting does not provide basis for a well-founded consent. Consent is not consent with audience peer pressure.

axbom.se/samtycke-vid-i…
Mycket spelas idag in slentrianmässigt utan tydlig styrning.
I’m attending this online talk tomorrow and it looks like you can still sign up.

tar egna initiativ = arbetsbeskrivning saknas
osv
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

One of my oldest friends doesn't have a private email account. He still maintains and uses his massive CD collection.
He just emailed me from his girlfriend's account because "long time" and he wants me to attend the 🏍 fair with him. It's the first email I ever got from him. ❤️
This has nothing to do with conscious avoidance, security or "taking a stand". Just complete disinterest. And I love him for it. It's very grounding.
He will call me at least thrice a year to check in, make plans or wish happy birthday. I'm frustratingly bad at doing any of these types of things and staying in touch but it's like he's a constant in my life that I could not muster losing.
That's him, way in the back in a gray t-shirt. 😊
And hell yeah, we're going to the motorcycle fair in May.

@rachelcoldicutt Ah the solidity of surveys 😅
Crazy number of comment sections that enrage me but I don't engage in... somewhat proud of myself. But sometimes I think I should actually write the response, just keep it to myself and publish it in my memoirs. 😅
I recently subscribed to the brilliant and talented @Abby_the_IA's newsletter because she had the perfect pitch: it allows her to spend less time on social media. eepurl.com/hcNCBb
Epic.
You can do the same for me obviously (if you can find it)

@round Today! This morning! And I was talking to @beantin about how long ago it was I did this.
I'm working on breaking down a medical test result response into information components for templating purposes. It's incredibly rewarding.
One of the reasons to subscribe to my newsletter is truly self-centred: potentially I can spend less time on social media 😂. The other reason is more for you:
If you appreciate the content I share, the posts I write and the teaching I do you're going to miss a lot of that in the feed. Because algorithms. So if you want a monthly (roughly) collection of those things (along with some current reflection of mine) you may find value in subscribing.
If not, I still love you and I actually like that you don't just sign up for things willy-nilly. We are all struggling to better focus on the things that matter and bring us wellbeing. So maybe I should be subscribing to yours? 😊

@augmentedrobot I see it multiple times per day and I'm not surprised it's common practice. The "social media gurus" swear by it. I'm thinking of writing a post to highlight how people with visual, cognitive and motor impairments will have a much harder time finding your link and clicking it.

@ishyamo Agree 💯. I must admit it had slipped my mind how the US were the last to ground the plane, and it was Trump who signed the order.

@Shortwave @cydharrell Thanks, this is actually exactly the type of response I like to see :) I'm well aware that the type of software you're building requires the access, and can provide real value. It truly does come down to trust, and if I feel control over my data, e.g. able to delete in a click.
Important investigative documentary about the Boeing 737 Max. Highly recommended. Really makes evident the importance of encouraging and protecting whistleblowers. And how the struggle to appease shareholders can be a vector for disaster.

Just finished watching. It's horrific. If @Boeing hadn't consciously taken shortcuts, acted deceitfully and "jedi-mind-tricked" regulators (an actual phrase used in an email), those crashes would not have happened and all those people would not have died in those crashes. 😢
In January 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice charged Boeing with criminal conspiracy to defraud the FAA. Boeing agreed to pay 2.5 billion dollars in fines and compensation. This arrangement has allowed @Boeing to avoid criminal prosecution.
