@HERO_Respondi Very valid questions. If you don't know that you'll stay, maybe join mastodon.se to begin with, before you invest money. You can always create a Tankespjärn one later and move the account there. Some people regularly move between instances.

@ethicsconsult Hopefully I'll find time to blog, but in short I'm finding other people there, some who have been there for years and some who are just "moving in". Totally different vibe, giving me that nostalgic feeling of early internet where people were curious together. Very respectful.

@beantin @uxpodcast This is true. Part of it is also seeing how the people I follow are influenced by algorithms, itself contributing how they engage on the platform. My hypothesis is that you have to be really well organised, aware and in control to make good use of lists.

@tsvenson This is fair. A restart is likely a big contributor as well. But the sense is that most people on here are affected by algorithms meaning they behave differently than they otherwise would. Including myself.
