When I made my poster "If AI was like a hammer" I got some pushback for 'exaggerating' how much more energy intensive it is than using other tools for similar results.
When it comes to overall climate impact I think I may have been soft-pedaling.

Meredith Whittaker (president på Signal) har oerhört mycket bra observationer och reflektioner också. Hon kommer ju ursprungligen från Google där hon grundade deras Research Group, och blev oustad därifrån pga sitt etikfokus och startade AI Now Institute innan hon hamnade på Signal.

This time around in hospital I've challenged my introvert self and sat down with people at breakfast.
So many awesome life stories I've heard. Running a theatre, fire security on cargo ships, radio installations and much more.
I could do podcast interviews for a year on this coronary care unit.
Also, in work situations now I'm often older. At the coronary care unit I'm the young guy. 😁
Tip to try out Bluesky labels, a labeller that adds a label with your pronouns - that also become visible in feeds for people who use the same labeller.

Now I'm just waiting on someone to build a UX labeller with UX professions, which can help all sorts of discovery. I would myself if I had access to anything resembling time 😅 My head also isn't screwed on right with all these health issues at the moment.

Jag tycker det är svårt att hitta kvinnliga AI-forskare som alls tror på detta uppdiktade väsen. Företagsledare kanske.
