@nenetl@hispagatos.space For me it means that anything I create has the potential to affect someone else in a positive or negative way. By thinking through and involving people to assess possible, plausible and preferable consequences I acknowledge that I can choose to make wellbeing a primary concern. Early in my career I designed a lot of stuff to make them easy without concern for long-term effects or societal impact.
I do not work with usability, accessibility, UX or digital design. I work with wellbeing and compassion. The better I understand this the better I become at taking responsibility for the consequences of my work. I know better when NOT to build something.

@ambivalena Det tror jag också är en viktig faktor. Sömnbrist leder till paranoia. Jag tänker även att det det hela blir värre i och med klimatförändringarna och svårigheter att sova pga temperatur och väderomslag. Lägg därtill hur luftföroreningar skadar den kognitiva förmågan så känns det som en stökig framtid. 😬

I’ve just spent days migrating and updating the student course site for my ethics course. Though I’m on vacation. Which still makes sense, because this is what I truly love doing.
It’s also becoming apparent that within 6 months or so I should be able to offer a subscription/membership option for an English version of the course site. I’ve created and curated so much content over the years!
Which tends to scare students so I have to ease them into it 😅

@derek My common answer to this is that alt text depends on context. The purpose of using the image should be conveyed in the image description. No reason to describe things that are out of context and divert from the message.
