Every now and then I think about Uber's God View and how naive it is to not expect that most services with widespread consumer use have a surveillance God View.
What irks me the most: The potential power this gives over politicians. Never doubt that some people obviously still have this access.

I'm sure I'll never understand the US practice of public mugshots being used to ridicule, misrepresent and harass. So if someone is convicted of a crime it's apparently open season on doing as one pleases with their likeness. Consent no longer applies. It's a curious phenomenon and I'm sure someone must have written a dissertation about itâŠ

Iâve seen several different women in this meme, and Iâm now wondering if any of them are based on something that happened or if itâs an image just designed to go viral. Sometimes itâs Texas, sometimes itâs Kansas.đ§
The blonde woman was apparently arrested in Georgia in 2025. for speeding. No goats.
Or Iâm just not getting the joke⊠đŹ
1. Förbered i avskildhet.
2. LĂ€gg varje valsedel i varsitt kuvert.
This is such a fun and quirky episode. If you're interested in language and linguistics, and perhaps even ethics and human rights, I believe you will truly enjoy this. Lera Boroditsky has so many great examples.
The studio banter is worth it.

I also didn't understand the "hunting" reference at first. Made me very curious as well. Good eyes.

I went Dragon 32, Atari 600XL, Atari STe. I remember investing in a huge 30MB external hard drive in 1990.

A computer with built-in BASIC, a membrane keyboard and 1kB memory. I upgraded it to 16kB using an expansion slot.
I also had a thermal printer (7cm wide) and a cassette player for storing my programs.

I not only still have my first computer⊠I still have the box for my first computer.

The age of probabilistic machines. Why be original when you can be bland and generic?âą

@brianjriddle Tack Brian, jag kollar pÄ det!
What did the SHIFT key really shift and why do computer programmers still have to care about carriages? Learn all about it, and why the original Qwerty layout didn't offer keys for the digits one and zero. And the R key was somewhere else entirely.
