Möjligen ägnas det lite för mycket text åt Twitter innan det. Jag håller ju med om precis allt, men det kan bli lite mastigt att ta del av precis allt som Twitter gör och har gjort fel nu. Tänker att det finns risk för fokustapp där. Även om det varit en viktigt plats för opinionsbildning så har det ju alltid varit lite av ett problem att det varit det, oaktat det senaste årets kaos. Så jag tänker att det viktiga är att vi nu har en öppning, en möjlighet att göra rätt, tack vare att Musk förvaltat sitt köp så häpnadsväckande illa. 😊
Det var mina tankar men som sagt: jag är 100% med på hela budskapet!

I do use Bear for all my notes but Obsidian is on my radar. Have been considering moving all my notes there, as everything I have is already in markdown. The visualisation aspect of Obsidian is appealing.

– Använda eget domännamn för ökad tillit.
– Kunna hålla själva publiceringen (och spridningen av densamma) oberoende av big tech och tredje land.
– Underlättar arkivering – som dessutom kan skötas på ett myndighetsgemensamt sätt.

The US military uses .mil as their top-level domain name. But when you mistype that as .ml, e-mails with personal information can end up in Mali.
Taken from someone who owns a lot of domain names and have frequently received email meant for others, it never ceases to amaze me how much sensitive info is sent across this open protocol.

What can you REMOVE from your life to improve your wellbeing?
@jay Yes, I can set a ”lang” parameter to Swedish, which I always try to remember to do when I post in Swedish. This should be compatible with Mastodon in the sense that if you want to block/allow specific languages you can do this in settings.
I got this to work back when I was on Mastodon but I actually don’t know how Mastodon copes with the Akkoma language setting.

Yeah, I left a year ago and for a while auto-posted some of my blog posts there and then stopped doing even that. But definitely it's a platform I'm not returning to.
I'm honestly surprised by how little I've missed it. This space has given me so much more.
My biggest regret is posting so much original content there that I will have to to sift through and preserve in a better way. Not giving away content to any platform in that way again.
