How long can humans resist? Surely someone will build a bot that just floods Wikipedia with fake believable content?

@gunchleoc Thanks, these were very good tips. Just adding a content filter took me pretty far. So now in the web interface I don’t see them.
But when using @MonaApp it doesn’t pick up on my filters, so all the spam is in my feed there. So it’s back to relying on the web. Which is fine for now.
Gonna try the other Akkoma settings as well as soon as I have time.

In this sentence I take issue with the words ‘once considered’, suggesting past-tense. My position is that the present tense, ‘consider’, is still more applicable.
The word ‘kooky’ appears very fitting in this context though.

I’ve been experimenting with Bluesky and I’m uncharacteristically tickled by how well they seem to be managing moderation, how easy it is to maintain a chronological timeline of only people I follow, and the ability to verify my own domain name for username purposes.
Worth noting is that Jack Dorsey has deleted his Bluesky account and is no longer on the board. On the board is, however, Jabber / XMPP inventor Jeremie Miller.

I obviously won’t be leaving the Fediverse, if that even crossed anyone’s mind, but there are a few people I’d like to see more from – which Bluesky may enable for me.
The idea of having to REGISTER to vote is very foreign to people in Sweden.
In Sweden and many other countries you are automatically registered to vote when you turn 18 (or of legal voting age) and never have to think twice about it.
And yes, people in prison can vote as well.
I don't know how widespread this knowledge is in countries where you have to register.
Automatic eligibility to vote of course only works in countries that enforce mandatory residency registration.

I recommend reading the accounts of people who were scammed out of large amounts of money. It gives you an idea of how these things go down and how someone close to you may be drawn in, even if not on Truth Social.
