But I also usually have NC in combination with this. You would suggest not having NC at all? My though when adding this for my blogs is to avoid people making books to sell with my content.
@ingridsdotra Bäst tipset är att använda "Content Warning" (CW) frikostigt. Snackar man politik kan man bara skriva politik som content warning så är det enkelt att scrolla förbi om man inte vill läsa, eller öppna och läsa om man är på det humöret :) Alla svar får samma CW som första inlägget.
Gör man det här finns det nog inga ämnen som inte funkar att ta upp, tänker jag.

@LexxAstar Yes I would say it's more often a user preference. They have different interfaces, features and integrations. I understand Friendica for example has a Twitter add-on, and supports the diaspora protocol.

It would appear to be more like Diaspora is itself "a protocol as well as a service which other fediverse social networks like Friendica and HubZilla support".

@jon Yeah I know. 😁 Unfortunately the joinmastodon site doesn’t help enough in guiding people towards choosing more appropriately in the first stage. Would be fun to brainstorm better signposting.
The option to migrate is good (I’ve done it twice now) but that also feels daunting for a lot of people.
The opposite of DE-centralize is to centralize a majority of users on the same instance. 😉

Among the changes:
Added XMPP. Added a line from GNUSocial to Ostatus. Added Zot as a tree and a line to Hubzilla. Added back Plume(!)
FYI: The blog post tells more about the thinking behind the diagram and how it is not intended to be a complete mapping of the #Fediverse.

New blog post: The many branches of the Fediverse
As more and more people are asking me about Mastodon I felt a need for a picture to point at, showcasing how the software known as Mastodon fits into the much larger concept of the Fediverse. I made this visualisation to help myself and others explain the many different use-cases and benefits of different services that can exchange information.
I am well aware this still doesn't cover all available tools, and ActivityPub isn't the only protocol. The image is a simplification, as most models are

@dinkompismia @LeoR1010 Vi flyttade ut på "landet" förra året. 30 minuters promenad till närmaste buss som går en gång i timmen på arbetstid. Jag stannar upp så mycket mer i vardagen nu och bara tittar runt omkring mig. Ser årsväxlingarna på ett helt nytt sätt. Har också rådjur som man kan glo ikapp med.
Just det här att man är så liten i helheten. Och att det är bra så.
